Peter Woodin\, who is buried in the Swartz Creek Cemetery.  \n\n\n\nThe event will take place June 6 at 11:00 am with refreshments to follow provided by the Swartz Creek Historical Society.  \n\n\n\nFull Military Honors will be provided by the Swartz Creek American Legion\, US Army JROTC\, and the 1st Royal Artillery\, Seven Years War Cannoneers. Musical selections by the Swartz Creek HS Madrigals Choir.

DESCRIPTION:The Jeremiah Clark Chapter   invites you to the America 250 “Road to American Independence” exhibit opening ceremony. The event is scheduled for Saturday\, May 16\, 11:00 a.m. at the Old Mill Museum\, 366 Mill Street\, Ortonville. The Jeremiah Clark Chapter was commissioned by the Ortonville Community Heritage Society to produce artwork and text telling the story of the American Revolution accessible to the general public. This event led by our chapter will involve the Sashabaw Plains NSDAR\, Elias Cady CAR\, MI SSAR Color Guard\, 1st Royal Artillery\, Seven Years War Cannoneers\, and Revolutionary War reenactors. \n\n\n\nThere will be a nine feet tall Declaration of Independence for all event participants to sign.  \n\n\n\nThe Citizen published an article about the event in the April 4\, 2026 edition of their newspaper.
